TMS produce a range of our own plastic construction products used in the manufacture of Concrete Slabs and Precast Concrete profiles. The spacers centralise the steel rebar reinforcement  in the required location within a mould prior to the concrete being poured. This can be vertically or horizontally (dependent on type). 

Why use plastic spacers?

Plastic has been found to be one of the most versatile of all building materials. In precast technology it has a major role to play in the maintenance of cover in precast concrete mouldings. It is mandatory to maintain a specific spacing between the reinforcement and the visible surface of the concrete profile. The variety of precast units has led to a significant array of plastic solutions being developed, each with characteristics which makes them adapt to specific applications.
